Emergency Stabilization Services
Cascade offers crisis outreach and Involuntary Treatment Assessments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at no cost. These services are provided by master’s level clinicians who are trained in crisis response, intervention, and resolution. Crisis outreach services are available to assist any individual of all age groups who are in an emotional crisis. Crisis responders and DMHP’s utilize a holistic approach and assessment to create and implement appropriate and individualized measures to help maintain safety and provide stabilization. Our staff assesses each individual’s level of functioning and risk, collaborating with them to create an appropriate and beneficial stabilization plan of care. ESS offers short term crisis intervention and prevention services utilizing strength based, solution focused, culturally competent, trauma informed, and recovery oriented interventions.
Designated Mental Health Professionals (DMHP’s) are experienced at working with individuals experiencing mental illness and with their families. DMHP’s are trained to meet competency requirements for designation as a DMHP in order to provide involuntary treatment assessments under the Involuntary Treatment Act (ITA). Designated Mental Health Professionals provide legal assessment of grave disability and/or danger to self or others (as a result of a mental health disorder) for possible involuntary detention to a mental health facility. As a component of the evaluation, it must be determined that other, less restrictive options for stabilization of the crisis have been ruled out or deemed inappropriate. Additionally, it is expected that the investigation include attempts to interview other significant professional and natural supports as well as reviewing client’s behavioral health history to ascertain a more complete picture of client’s current needs.
Crisis Response services are available 24/7 and can be accessed by calling 1-800-559-6696 or 360-330-9044 x1. Crisis response services are provided to anyone of any age, culture, or insurance coverage, at no cost.
